I started ballooning in 1979 as an 8 year old kid. My next door neighbors were chase crew and asked my family to come out and join in the fun. I fell in love with the sport immediately and wanted to be a balloon pilot. I have been flying as a pilot since 1989 and have flown all over Colorado, New Mexico, South Dakota, Nebraska, Arizona, Utah and Mexico. I have had the opportunity to pilot some very challenging flights such as a flight over Pikes Peak, over the Sandia mountains in Albuquerque New Mexico, a 110 mile long jump flight from Colorado Springs to Hasty Colorado and past the faces of Mount Rushmore in Custer South Dakota.
